is are a year-round developmental program
centrally located in the Rockridge section of North Oakland, close to pedestrian-friendly College Avenue, the Rockridge Bart station and the Rockridge shopping district.
We are a small, safe preschool with a large, sunny outdoor play area, outdoor art room and cozy, welcoming classrooms. We provide breakfast and a morning snack and the children bring their own lunches and afternoon snacks in a Peanut and Tree Nut safe environment. Our Philosophy
We believe a crucial aspect of an excellent nurturing environment is the responsiveness to individual needs and the development of a positive self-image. Our warm and inviting developmental approach allows children to progress at their own pace in the areas of social, language, emotional, physical and intellectual skills.

Our Goal
Our goal is to provide a quality “child-directed” and “family-centered” preschool. “Child-directed” refers to the philosophy that in the preschool years the majority of a child’s time should be spent engaged in self-directed play. Our typical day offers a developmentally appropriate combination of teacher-directed and child-directed activities. “Family-centered” means that both the child and family are important and should be provided support and understanding.

Summertime Curriculum
During the Summer month we switch to a wonderful child centric curriculum. We do tons of fun activities such as local field trips, dress up, complementary gymnastics classes, S.T.E.A.M projects, and more.
